Earth Art Revolution (EAR)
Earth Art Revolution personifies the journey of human beings who have been taking the adventure to live together with the natural world throughout the history of the planet.
THE EXPERIMENT
The Earth Art Revolution Project (EAR) explores the complexity of the more than human relations our planet and the intra species communication, with more than human storytelling It investigates how it can be approached through artistic research and be converted into a nomadic creative practice in transmedia arts, using emerging technologies to generate an archive of the history, present and future of more than human relations. Earth stories are told by invited artists and scientists around the world, about an unique encounter with a more than human species using interactive sensory technology, locative and mobile media, creating a more than human worldwide network of Earth Stories.
RULES
the experiment is about exploring a new way to communicate together by including species and ecosystems in the conversation are achieved to following certain rules.
1- WE associate a specific e-mail for each available beings in the list like foxes, octopus...etc
By writing to this e-mail we will send to each others our stories about the specie.
2- The conversation is centered on a more than human being (biosphere) or an element of the Earth ( geosphere) like a river or a mountain.
4- The content of the conversation can gravitate around outdoors encounters, observations, wisdom from the intelligence of Nature.
GATHERING STORIES
The EAR Project proposes to capture the stories and visual memory of human and non human beings, and of their places, to artistically tell the story of the million years old living together of all living beings in their crossings of the world. It portrays the biodiversity of various habitats, natural territories and whole continents and generates a artistic/documental archive of more than human encounters.
Its methodology employs digital storytelling recordings with immersive video technology, interactive mapping and locative media . From this living archive, it starts a process of transmedial composition: the creation of interactive and augmented reality works, videos, photographs, sound art, musical compositions and performance, with the aim to immerse the observer/participant into an experience beyond their space and time. In short, it is a combination of knowledge, innovation and the poetic of more than human encounters, supported by the processes of artistic research and mediated by transmedial technology.
THE EXHIBITION IN MOTION
The Earth Art Revolution Project (EAR) proposes to capture the sound and visual stories of the encounters and living together of all living beings in the history of the planet and during the million years they were crossing the world. In this way, it portrays biodiversity, mobility and generates a network and archive of more than human stories of connection and encounter, which circulates worldwide in a online map, webapp, and a performative installation with immersive image, sound and AR.
